Light B4 Sound - Senescence
An ambient, electronic and cinematic journey through life. Senescence : The condition or process of deterioration.
Senescence is an ambient cinematic electronic work by Light Before Sound exploring meaning in life, death and decay. The album tracks through the journey from conception to the ultimate ending. Ideally, the album should be listening to as one continuous piece, but each track features it's own unique message.
Light Before Sound is described as “ambient cinematic electronica”. It is more than music, it is meant to be encompass developing and evolving soundscapes which hopefully make the listener reflect and become immersed in the moment and the experience. The overriding aim is to give the listener a multi-sensory experience, combining auditory, visual and emotional stimuli. Light B4 Sound produces cross-media content with hopefully a slight spiritual and philosophical message, trying to make sense and question of the madness that surrounds us in everyday life.
Light Before Sound aims to create emotive, evocative and thought provoking music. Music which you can listen to, but music which make you question. The name Light Before Sound comes from the love of thunderstorms, where the lightning precedes the sonic thunder, but where sound always has the most provocative and lasting effect.
Light Before Sound’s musical output has been likened to everything from Trent Reznor ish Nine Inch Nails (think Ghosts I-IV), Brian Eno, Atticus Ross, Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Tangerine Dream to Pink Floyd (to name but a few). Light Before Sound has such a varied taste in music, that the goal is to develop a blend, citing influences from all musical genres.
